The Shindo Shad – Redefining Saltwater Mentality

The Shindo Shad is a large-profile twitch bait built for targeting redfish, trout, snook, flounder, and other inshore predators. Available in 5", 6", and 7" sizes, the Shindo series delivers a realistic baitfish profile paired with an innovative jointed tail that creates erratic movement designed to trigger aggressive reaction bites.

On the twitch, the joint allows the tail to kick with a subtle flutter, mimicking a wounded or fleeing baitfish. The streamlined body casts easily and tracks naturally in the water, helping you efficiently fish grass flats, potholes, channels, and reef lines.

Whether you're matching medium forage or presenting a larger profile to call up bigger fish, the Shindo lineup gives anglers multiple size options to adapt to conditions while maintaining the same proven action and profile. When fish are keying in on larger meals or ignoring smaller baits, the Shindo Shad delivers the size, movement, and presence needed to get noticed.

THE WHY

We developed the Shindo Shad to fill a gap in the inshore soft plastics market—a true big-profile twitch bait designed for pressured saltwater environments. Predators like redfish, speckled trout, snook, and flounder are opportunistic feeders, responding not just to hunger, but to movement, size, and vulnerability.

In ecosystems where every meal is earned, a larger and more realistic presentation can trigger aggressive strikes from fish that routinely pass on smaller offerings. By offering multiple size options, anglers can better match local forage and adjust their presentation to target both active feeders and trophy-class predators.

The Shindo’s realistic profile, jointed action, and versatile sizing give anglers the confidence to fish bigger and fish smarter when it matters most.

THE HOW

The Shindo Shad is built for versatility across a wide range of saltwater presentations. Its innovative joint allows the tail to flutter and pivot independently, creating subtle flashes and erratic movement that closely mimic a fleeing baitfish—an effective trigger for pressured or inactive feeders.

In deeper water or around open structure, the Shindo performs best rigged on a jig head (typically 1/8–1/4 oz depending on depth and current). This setup allows the bait to maintain a natural horizontal posture while responding to subtle rod twitches, making it ideal for pause-and-pop retrieves or slow rolling near the bottom.

For shallow grass flats, shorelines, or sight-casting scenarios, the Shindo excels rigged weightless on a wide-gap hook or suspended under a popping cork for a slower fall and natural glide between twitches.

The Shindo Shad is available in a range of saltwater-optimized colors, from translucent patterns for clear water to bold, high-contrast finishes for stained or muddy conditions. Whether you’re working open flats, structure, or current seams, the Shindo series is built to produce consistent strikes.
