The Ridge Worm combines a 10-inch profile with a ribbed body and long, tapered tail. Its flexible design responds to short drags, lifts, and shakes, giving you a large worm presentation you can work slowly. Texas rig it around shallow cover, drag it on a Carolina rig offshore, or adapt it to a shakey head, wobble head, Neko rig, or drop shot.
01 Large Profile. Flexible Action.
The ribbed body adds texture and moves water as you work the worm. Behind it, a long, flattened tail tapers to a narrow tip, allowing movement along the rear section with light rod input.
Use short pulls or lifts to flex the body and tail, then pause before moving it again. The 10-inch length gives you added profile while letting you keep the retrieve slow and controlled.
02 Rig for the Water Ahead
Rig the body straight with the hook point protected. Match the weight to depth and cover, then use controlled lifts and pauses around vegetation edges, laydowns, and brush.
Use slow pulls to move the worm behind the weight across points, flats, and offshore structure. Pause between pulls and adjust leader length to suit the bottom and presentation.
Choose a head with a hook suited to the body. Use a shakey head for small shakes around individual targets, or a wobble head for dragging across longer stretches of rock and hard bottom.
Add a nail weight to one end for a Neko presentation, or rig it above a drop-shot weight to work it off the bottom. Keep the hook placement balanced and use small movements to work the long body and tail.
03 Build Your Setup
Match hook style to your rigging method and leave enough clearance for the ribbed body to compress on the hookset. Choose weight based on depth, cover, and the fall rate you want.
