Bongo 3.7
The Bongo 3.7 puts oversized claw action behind a streamlined body. Its broad claws move water on the fall and retrieve, giving swim jigs, bladed jigs, and bottom-contact presentations an active trailer without adding excessive body bulk.
Thread it onto a jig, Texas rig it for flipping and pitching, or drag it on a Carolina rig. The compact 3.7-inch profile moves between grass, wood, rock, and offshore structure with the same emphasis on claw movement.
01 Slim Body. Big Claw Action.
The broad claws create movement and water displacement as the bait travels. Activate them with a steady swim, short hops, or lifts that let the bait fall back toward the bottom.
The narrow body provides a compact rigging profile while leaving the claws room to work. It adds action behind a jig without filling out the entire presentation with extra body mass.
A molded scale pattern gives the body a distinctive texture. Combined with the twin claws, it creates a simple craw-style profile suited to both moving presentations and bottom work.
02 Swim It. Flip It. Drag It.
Thread the Bongo straight onto the hook and keep both claws clear of the skirt and keeper. Swim it around vegetation, along grass edges, and past isolated cover, adjusting the retrieve to the depth and response of the fish.
Pitch it beside wood, docks, brush, and grass pockets. Let the claws work during the fall, then add a short lift or hop before moving to the next target.
Work points, rock, and offshore structure with controlled pulls and pauses. Mix in short lifts to give the claws more movement as the bait rises and settles.
03 Build Your Setup
For Texas-rigged presentations, choose a hook that fits the body with enough clearance for the plastic to collapse during the hookset. Match your weight to the depth, cover, and desired fall, and use a stopper when you need to keep the weight close to the bait.
