01 Tune the Profile and Action
Leave the inner and outer appendages in place for the fullest presentation. The additional surface area moves water and helps slow the fall compared with a trimmed version on the same rig.
Remove the inner appendages to reduce bulk while retaining the broad outer pair. This configuration gives the bait a different silhouette and a subtler gliding presentation.
Remove the broad outer appendages for a narrower profile with less resistance during the descent. Use this option when you want a faster fall or a more compact presentation around cover.

Texas rig the Congo Craw and target grass pockets, laydowns, brush, and dock cover. Choose the full or trimmed profile to match the opening and the amount of action you want on the fall.
Thread the body straight onto a compatible jig, keeping the appendages clear of the keeper and skirt. Trim the profile when you want less bulk, or retain the full shape for added movement behind the jig.
Use short hops and controlled drags around rock, isolated cover, and offshore structure. Pause between movements and compare how each appendage configuration changes the bait’s fall and action.
