SWEEP
The Sweep is a 6-inch soft swimbait designed for weedless rigging around grass, wood, and docks. Its full baitfish profile and sweeping tail create a natural swimming presentation on a slow or steady retrieve. A concealed hook slot pairs with a recommended 7/0 keel-weighted hook, letting you bring a larger forage profile through cover.
01 Full Profile. Controlled Swim.
The Sweep’s substantial body offers a larger baitfish silhouette for bass feeding on bluegill, shad, trout, and other sizable forage. Detailed scales, gill plates, and lifelike eyes complete the profile.
A sweeping tail supplies the swimming action, while molded pectoral fins help stabilize the body and limit unwanted roll. Start with a steady retrieve and adjust your pace to the depth and cover.
02 Rig Weedless for Cover
The concealed hook slot provides a place to protect the hook point when rigged with a suitable 7/0 keel-weighted hook. This setup helps reduce snagging around vegetation and submerged wood.
Rig the body straight, position the hook point in the slot, and keep the tail free to move. Check the alignment after a bite or contact with cover to maintain a consistent swim.
03 Work the Edges and Open Lanes
Cast along grass lines or through open lanes in vegetation. Maintain enough retrieve speed to keep the tail working, adjusting hook weight and pace to hold the bait at your desired depth.
Guide the bait beside dock posts, standing timber, and isolated cover. Keep the retrieve controlled so the Sweep follows your intended path past the target.
Choose the Sweep when bass are feeding on bigger baitfish or when you want a substantial profile around cover. Match the finish to the forage in your water.
04 Build Your Setup
A 7/0 keel-weighted hook is the recommended starting point. Choose the hook weight to suit your fishing depth, retrieve speed, and cover.
